You are right on so many levels. I live in a state where the “good ‘ol boy” mentality is rampant. Even in our court system. For example, when a woman does something equivalent to “sowing her wild oats” the prevailing attitude is something is inherently wrong with her and she must be put away. That is why Oklahoma puts more women in prison than any other place on the planet.

Also, asking politely for help or anything, for that matter, is why I asked women who are better writers than myself to help me in my endeavor. And guess what? 90% responded in the affirmative. I believe when we engage we empower each other.
