Stories of division and unity are the stories of my family. From harrowing tales of racial violence and ex-communication to celebrations of love and hope.

My family has been touched by it all.

Even though we are a self-contained bi-racial family that includes, Black, White, Hispanic, and Native, we are not impervious to the racial climate surrounding us.

We have seen black history as it is made and experienced its reckoning and aspirations. Let’s unravel the tapestry of my family and see the threads of race relationships woven throughout.
