Remember the rhyme Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers?
I’ve got a peck of pickled cucumbers that Peter forgot to pick!
The bees didn’t come, and the wasps stayed home.
It was too hot to fly underneath the monster heat dome.
My cucumbers suffered through drought and heat index of 115°,
Stuck between okra, tomatoes, and my long green beans.
