I live in Tulsa and know some of the black cowboys and cowgirls that ride in the rodeos. My daughter's brother is a member of the all black rodeo that is still held in some of the historically all black towns like Boley, Redbird, and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. It is a rich and ongoing tradition that is alive and kicking! Great article!
