I am the grandmother who also treated all my grand babies the same-all 14 of them. My children and grandchildren range from white-skinned (75% black) to dark (50% white). I heard the taunts--"Light, bright, & almost white" & "You're polluting the bloodline" Half-breed, N-lover, etc. We love each other equally. Step outside and it's a whole other story.
