Hi, Sean!

This is a great article! I am also a student of history in racial disparities. At one point, I had 10 or so copies of the National Geographic from the 1920s depicting people from Africa, New Guinea, and Australia as apelike in the advertisements. The photographs displayed topless women and almost naked men adding the to concept they are less than and need to be civilized. Today, instead of the idea people are less than, we look at differences and categorize people as the other. Thanks for this post!
