All evangelicals are not old white men, they just gave us a bad name. Being evangelical is about witness. Witness to Jesus' love and living that love. Much of the black church is evangelical, and much of lay people are female. I am witness to both. I am saddened by the culture of abuse but I do not let the actions of others dissuade me from my faith. Or relationship. Anyway, great article!
